Cash Drawer and Receipt Functions
SWIFT POS rings up sales like any register, but
faster. All data is captured for analysis, and
inventory is updated in real time. The program
drives an interactive cash drawer, receipt printer,
bar code scanner, shopper display unit, MICR cheque
reader (to capture cheque number and Bank details),
portable data capturing unit and magnetic card
stripe reader. SWIFT POS is also compatible with
the, WINCOR NIXDORF, EPSON and IBM SureOne
Point of Sale unit. The Point of Sale terminal
can be a single, stand-alone unit or part of a
network of multiple POSes and other workstations.

Quantity and Price Lookup
Why
should a store lose customers and sales because
clerks can't find an item or price? Swift POS
allows an instant view of whether an item is in
stock at this store. It allows immediate lookup
of the correct price of an item, which may have
lost its tag. The system can be used to identify
and find items similar to what the customer is
looking for, whether by vendor, price range, color,
etc.
POS
Summary Reports
The daily X/Z Out Report provides a summary of
all the day's activity at a POS station, or for
a particular clerk, or for the whole store. It
totals up sales, returns, tax, and sums paid in
and paid out for each tender and each credit card.
It lists and totals all sums in or out for special
transactions, such as Gift Certificates. It lists
all checks accepted for the day with ID information.
It totals all line item discounts by the reasons
they were given. This report reconciles the drawer
easily and swiftly, and its exact breakdowns can
help isolate procedural errors for correction.
Multiple
Payment Methods
Supports multiple payment methods, such as Cash,
Credit Card, Cash Card, Discount Card, Vouchers
or a combination of different tender methods in
a single purchase.
Supports
multi-currency payment to eliminate manual calculation.
For any payment in foreign currency, the system
will convert automatically to local currency according
to pre-set exchange rate.
Multiple
Sales Discount
Flexible discount features allows the
retailer to run storewide discount sale, to grant
certain discount to selected category of customers
and merchandises, otherwise to control discount
given by salesperson.
Discount
can be calculated by percentage or by absolute
value.
Multiple
Hold of Customers
To minimize the waiting time in the
queue, the retail sale module allows multiple
hold of customers.
The feature enables the cashier to receive new
customer while holding on existing unpaid bill,
a unique function especially for retail outlets.
Daily
Reconciliation
Cash Drawer Reconciliation can be performed
at the end of everyday or whenever required. A
summary of daily sales at each cash register can
be consolidated for management report and analysis.
Reconciliation
report records beginning balance, deposit and
withdrawal, sales within each shift, and amount
received / counted.
The
system facilitates media/ monetary declaration
by the cashier and then it is crossed checked
with the system for any excess or shortage.
If
excess or deficit amount occurs, transaction journals
and sales report can be audited and investigated.
VAT,
Tax & Pluses
For regulatory requirements or industry practices,
retailers are sometimes required to impose additional
charges in the retail sales, such as value-added
tax, sales tax, service tax or pluses.
The
system allows to create multiple VAT, assigns
different VAT to different merchandises. At point
of sale, different taxes can be combined and charged
to a single sale.
Comprehensive
Security Access
Allows retail manager to restrict unauthorized
access to any module in the program and any function
key of each module. Operator's access right can
be defined by their respective designated job
functions.
To
keep the profits and costs confidential, the system
can be built to conceal the cost of merchandise
from retail operators.
All
exceptional sales activities such as Merchandise
Sales and Returns, Abnormal Stock Out can be tracked
to prevent purloining.
Disaster
Recovery (Local Off-line)
In mission critical environment, Local Off-line
Operation provides additional recovery support
in the event of emergency and network breakdown.
Cash
Register can be switched to operate on local station
automatically during network failure, allowing
cashier to continue ring in sales.
Sales
data will be uploaded when network resumes, and
all transactions will be merged at server.
Local
Off-line Operation can also be activated specially
for specific purposes.
Remote-Offline
Remote Off-line Support is a unique and cost-effective
solution for businesses with many small retail
shop-front and outlets. It offers substantial
savings on further hardware investments.
Remote
Off-line function tracks retail sales and inventory
movement at each outlets, and uploads sales data
periodically to warehouse.

feature allows retail shop to perform all retail
sales activities, and the warehouse to manage
Purchasing, Billing and Inventory Control, leaving
the operation at outlets simple and reliable.
